A brief introduction to picks
Pick consumption decreases with increasing shearer traction speed and increases linearly with drum speed. The reason is that with the increase of traction speed, the chip thickness of the pick increases, and the path for cutting coal and rock per unit volume becomes shorter, resulting in less pick wear and lower tooth loss.

What is the reason for the cold cracking of the shearer pick?
Picks include shearer picks, roadheader picks and rotary cutter picks. Different types of incisors have different effects. In mining and underground mining, shearer picks play an important role. TBM picks are mainly used in roadway excavation and tunnel excavation.
