What is the reason for the cold cracking of the shearer pick?

3. The thickness of the pick weldment is not up to standard, the rigidity of the weldment is relatively large, and the welding bonding force is increased.

Also, the cutting teeth are not heated and cooled uniformly during the welding process, which can lead to cold cracks in the shearer picks.

During the working process, the pick will bear a lot of compressive stress, shear force and impact load, so it is easy to wear.

Brazing heat treatment is one of the key technologies for good quality of picks. Now the brazing and heat treatment of the pick can be said to be integrated. In fact, it is heated in a vacuum furnace, so brazed picks can be quenched directly without air cooling, and brazing and heat treatment can be done in one go. The quality can only be better with treated picks.

We need to do a good job in the reliability of the pick, improve its reliability, reduce the ratio of the loss of the pick to the cost of coal, so as to effectively increase the effective working time of the shearer, strengthen the strengthening technology of the pick, and improve the performance of the pick. Picks are a very wear-and-tear piece of equipment, and their lifespans vary widely.
